Category F2 & F3 (retail) Training Days

These days are aimed at those who are completely new to fireworks or already put on displays at home, for a local club, association, event or school.  We usually hold this course in unison with our Firework Review Night which is held at the end of September each year. The day starts with a visit to the classroom where you’ll learn about the different firework types, firework safety, display site layout, safe set up, PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) & Safe Firing.

After lunch you’ll get the chance to put your new found knowledge to the test and set up the 100+ fireworks for our review night under the watchful eye of our trained professionals who will be on hand to answer any questions you may have.

If you wish you can stay to help fire or watch the evenings fireworks. It’s a great way to see all the latest new fireworks in the flesh!

The course includes: Tea, coffee & light refreshments throughout the day and a hot lunch. All required protective clothing (excluding footware) Additional hot food is available to purchase in the evening should you wish to stay.

Course Cost: £125 – FREE if you are purchasing over £1000 on our retail range of fireworks.

Category F4 (professional) Experience Days

If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to be a Pyrotechnician then this is a great insight in to what we do. If you already fire shows and want to increase your knowledge then this is a fantastic day out and we guarantee that not only will you take away some invaluable lessons from the day, you’ll make some fantastic new friends too!

We’ll be honest, the main reason we hold these days is to recruit new firers. As our business expands we are always looking for new team members. Each year a handful of attendees will go on to become regular firers for Firework Crazy, with some just offering their services for the busy November season. Of course, some we never see again and just come for the experience and that’s fine too. You’ll have a great day whatever your reasons for attending.

The day will consist of the following…

A chance to meet the team from Firework Crazy

Learning about the different types of fireworks

The difference between Category F2, F3 and Category F4 fireworks

What makes a firework Category F4

Site & Display safety

The importance of PPE

Fuses and the different types of fuse. Electronic / digital firing and ignitors.

A practical session including lighting some cat4 materials.

Plus lots more. And that’s just the day time!!

On the Saturday night after the training there will be the opportunity to come along to help set up and fire a professional show at a local venue.

This will be a training display and count towards a show in your BPA log book should you wish to move forward as a firer (Which you will be provided with).

Should you “get the bug” you will then be given the chance to crew on more shows with Firework Crazy and work towards your BPA Firer Qualification.

Refreshments are provided.

You will also receive a copy our our comprehensive training manual.

No previous Category 4 experience is necessary and everyone is welcome.
